The KC Global Design FWD Fusion Awards recognize the spirit of partnership by honoring two clients each year that bring together teams from across KC’s design and construction community.
Honored at KC Global Design’s signature annual event, FWD, these awards celebrate projects fueled by collaboration, shared vision and mutual respect — while also spotlighting the impact of KC’s design and construction work to a wider business audience.
Nominations
Two clients are recognized each year. Eligible nominees meet the following criteria:
- Fostered a highly collaborative environment across teams, firms or disciplines with clear involvement from KC-based architecture, engineering and/or construction teams
- Completion of the project within the last two years
- Leveraged deep collaboration across disciplines or organizations, showing intentional partnership and shared purpose
- Generated meaningful outcomes for end users, the community or the broader industry
2025 Winners
Zhou B Art Center
Recognized for its collaborative approach and cultural impact, this $27 million project revitalized a historic landmark and bridged two of KC’s proudest creative districts, creating 45 artist studios, four galleries and new youth music space. Learn More
KU Athletics
Through seamless collaboration with several KC Global Design firms, KU Athletics transformed a campus cornerstone into a national powerhouse. The project will generate nearly $2 billion in long-term economic impact and redefine the fan experience. Learn More
