Kimberly Young
President, KC Animal Health Corridor
Kimberly Young is a nationally recognized economic development leader with 25 years of experience advancing animal health, life sciences and technology sectors across Missouri, Kansas and the Midwest. She leads the KC Animal Health Corridor for the Kansas City Area Development Council, positioning the region as the world’s premier hub for animal health.
Before her current role, Kimberly held senior roles with the Missouri Partnership, Kansas Department of Commerce and Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition. She has been recognized as one of Consultant Connect’s Top 50 Economic Developers in North America, and honored by organizations including BioKansas and her alma mater, Pittsburg State University, for her leadership, innovation and mentorship in the biosciences and economic development fields.
Emily McVey
Vice President, KC Animal Health Corridor
Emily McVey is a recognized leader in workforce development and industry engagement, serving as vice president of the KC Animal Health Corridor. With nearly 15 years of experience at the intersection of workforce strategy, industry needs and community impact, she leads cross-sector initiatives that strengthen the Corridor’s position as the global epicenter of the animal health and nutrition industry.
Emily has contributed to national efforts in agricultural education through the USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture and, in 2023, was named to DCI’s Economic Development 40 Under 40 list for her measurable impact on the industry’s future.
